Welcome to the Catholic Keighley Website
The site was launched because of the interest generated at a single-day event looking at Catholic Heritage. It happened to coincide with the Catholic churches in Keighley introducing a new way of serving the Catholic community with co-ordinated times for Mass across the town.
The advent of Keighley Catholic Churches, while exciting and very positive has meant that some long-standing parish loyalties have been tested as folk move churches find Mass times that suit them. So it now becomes even more important to seek out photographs, leaflets and other ephemera before they are lost. Please do not only take time to leaf through the archive but also look in cupboards and photo albums for additional material. Items can be loaned for scanning and they will be returned as soon as possible.
Items may be loaned or donated to the archive. All the material is digitised and the digital copies are available via this website. Any items loaned are returned immediately after scanning. Items donated are kept securely and are available only for serious researchers in order to protect the artefacts.
All historical (that is up to and including yesterday!) items will be accepted but items less than ten years old not already in the public domain may be quarantined.
